OLD DOGS, SAME OLD TRICKS

Perhaps the two best defensive plays of the playoffs came courtesy of some of the NBA's oldest.

With the Suns victory over the Blazers, Grant Hill became the oldest player (in terms of years pro) to make it out of the 1st round for the first time. How did he celebrate? By stuffing young buck Jared Bayless.

Meanwhile, Spurs big man Antonio McDyess showed that he still has some ups left in those creeky knees. He demolished a Jason Terry layup attempt en route to eliminating the Mavs.

The moral of all this is that anyone can persevere no matter what is thrown at them. Both these guys have missed numerous games to do serious injuries yet they both are starters on teams who will be playing in the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.
